A SEMIOTIC APPROACH TO THE POEM OF SEZA KARAKOÇ’S CALLED “FABLE”
Semiotics developed in the 20th century and finding a field of application for itself in a wide area which ranges from architecture to anthropology, advertisement to cinema, text of science to linguistics is an interdisciplinary theory. Semiotics, which has structural origin, is a coherent method used in understanding literary works. This method examining the basis of signs determines the meaning segments in texts. In the our study, the basic principles of semiotic criticism methods are explained and the semiotic criticism method is applied to the poem of Sezai Karakoç’s called “Fable”. Text is intended to demonstrate by using the tools of semiotics is to determine the surface to deep production conditions.
