SOME OBSERVATIONS AND REMARKS ON BOSNIAN BIRTDAY PARADES
Birth, marriage and death are three basic passing points of human beings. Bearing the elements of lots of faiths, believes and practices, these events can be considered as porters of cultures, as they contain the socio-cultural acquisition and religious tendencies of the society. In this paper we will study the birthday ceremony, the first of the mentioned passing events among Bosnians, one of the founding elements of Bosnia-Herzegovina, a country which attract our attention by their long lasting historical, cultural and social friendship with Turks. In this regard, numerous practices and approaches in the traditional Bosnian folk culture related to the periods before, during, and after birth have been formed with the help of the information collected in the field study and have been presented in the form of an interview.
