Language And Style In Ziya Gökalp’s Poems About The I. World War
The poems written in the years of I. World War (1914-1918) have a different discourse to reflect the current sentiment during the war. In this article, impact on Ziya Gökalp’s language and style of I. World War have been studied. First Gökalp’s poems about I. World War have been identified. Literary works about the war see propaganda function at the point encouragement of soldiers on the front line in the war and keeping strong morale of back of fronts. The thoughts and feelings of the front and the hinterland are seen in poems written during I. World War. In this context, the effect in language and style of that Gökalp has written poems in the years of I. World War are emphasized. He has used a simple language in the poems.
