The Life, Art and Works of The Turkish Poetry Molla Veli Vidadi Who Lived in Azerbaijan in The 18th Century
Vidadi is one of the most important poet of 18th century Azerbaijani literature. In the article, the life of the poet has been discussed with the main lines.The poet has written poetry both in classical style and folk literature style. The themes, innovations and poetic influences of Azerbaijan in Vidadi's poems are examined. In Vidadi's poems, sadness, destiny, loneliness, expatriation, pessimism are the most important themes. Fuzuli's influence is clearly felt in his poems written by Vidadi with aruz. Vidadi was the poet who wrote the most social poetry among 18th century Azerbaijani poets. Vidadi successfully described the troubles and feelings of the people in his poem. Moreover, he became one of the most popular poets of Azerbaijani literature because he wrote folkloric poems. Vagif started a new era with his poems in Azerbaijani literature. In the 18th century, while the localization movement in the Ottoman Empire continued strongly, Vidadi and particularly Vagıf wrote poems of this kind. Vidadi has used the form, content, and language of folk poetry, although he graduated from the media and lived in the palace. Thus he have maneged to combine folk poetry and classical poetry.
