Opinions of Turkish Teachers on Writing Habits
The writing skills of the four basic language skills, along with reading skills, are learned in schools in a planned and programmed manner. Writing skill is the last skill achieved compared to other language skills. The fact that writing is based on certain rules, the flexibility is less than the talk, the transfer of feelings and thoughts is more difficult than face-to-face communication, it requires more knowledge than other language skills. In addition to the knowledge of writing skills, it is also important to give students the habit of writing, starting from the first stage of education. In writing education, it is also necessary to acquire a positive attitude towards writing, together with the knowledge of writing types and writing habits. The attitudes of Turkish teachers towards writing in their writing education, the habits of their skills will affect the writing habits and skills of the students. The aim of this study is to get the opinions of the Turkish teachers about writing education and habits which constitute curial parts of the writing education. The research was done by descriptive interview technique. According to the findings of the study, it was determined that teachers had problems about writing.
