“Terceme-i Yûsuf u Züleyhâ” of Mehmed Bin Pûlâd
In this study, it is aimed to introduce Mehmed Bin Pûlâd's prose work named "Terceme-i Yûsuf u Züleyhâ".There is only one known copy of this prose work, which was translated from Persian into Turkish by Mehmed Bin Pûlad. Although the copyright date is written as H. 516 on the last pages of the work, there are similar features to the transitional period works in the work. In the work, where the linguistic features of Old Anatolian Turkish are seen, some of the features of Eastern Turkish and Azerbaycan Turkish are also found. This work, which is one of the most beautiful and simple examples of the Yusuf and Züleyha stories, which are mostly studied and loved in both Turkish and Eastern literatures, is also important in terms of being an example of plain prose language.
