Looking at Ney In Terms of Sound and Association in Fiction
One of the issues that show the originality of the style in literature is to be able to activate the sound knowledge of the language for the reader. In literary texts, besides appealing to the sense of hearing, words have a metaphysical feature, a reminder of the truth. With the increasing influence of modern and postmodern philosophy, the change that started especially through the novel begins to affect the words and the stories behind them after a while. Although it is a musical instrument, the story created around the "ney" turns into an element that facilitates the application of the parody technique in the novel after a while. This study aims to reveal the place and change of cognitive knowledge about sound and hearing in the classical framework in the fictional plot. Filibeli Ahmet Hilmi's novel Amâk-ı Hayâl and İhsan Oktay Anar's Suskunlar have an important accumulation in terms of the mentioned research.
