Albanian Written Language In Ottoman Empire At Balkans
As the first Christian writers, who wrote in Latin or Greek, as well as the first Muslim writers in the Eastern literature, used literary tools like Persian, Arabic and Turkish, and even some of them have become famous names in Turkish literature. There are many Albanian authors who wrote in Eastern languages. The most famous of these of Albanian origin are: Suzi from Prizren, Mesihi from Pristina, Taşlıcalı Yahya, Dukagin Zadeh Ahmed Bey, and so on. In early sixteenth century, some of Turkish prose writers of Albanian origin are: Ayaz Bey, Lutfi Pasha, Koci Bey, and so on. During this period, in the cultural field, education and religious life appeared a wider movement to write in the Albanian language. We can notice efforts and an attempt for separation from the influence of foreign cultures. In this period Albanian language, began to be written with special alphabets.
