Özet
Bir tek varlığı, belli bir topluluk, kuruluş veya olayı gösteren isme özel ad denir. Yabancı özel adların imlâsı meselesi her zaman tartışma konusu olmuştur. Yabancı özel adların dillere giriş sebepleri vardır. Türkler, Çinceden din, askerlik, yönetim, ölçü-tartı ve edebiyatla; Hintçeden Budizmle ve Budizm görüntülü doğu Maniheizmiyle; İran dillerinden ve Toharcadan Budizm ve Maniheizmle; Farsça ve Arapçadan din, bilim ve sanatla; Batıdan bilim, teknik ve sanatla ilgili kelimeler ve özel adlar almıştır. Rus işgali sonrası Azerbaycan Türkçesinde ve Batıya yöneliş sonrası Türkiye Türkçesinde yabancı özel adların imlâsı konusunda benzer ve farklı tutumlar görülür. Türkiye Türkçesinde göz için imlâ ve Azerbaycan Türkçesinde kulak için imlâ tercihi yapılmıştır.

Abstract
Proper noun is that indicatives the thing, the group, the founding and the happening. Issue of orthography of foreign proper noun has been pointed at issue any old time. Foreign proper noun has reason of going into languages. Turks taked vords and pronoun noun with religion, soldiery, administration, measure and scalesa nd literature from Chinese; vords and pronoun noun with Budism and Maniheism from Hindi; vords and pronoun noun with Budism and Maniheism from İrani languages and Tokharish; vords and pronoun noun with religion, science and art from Persian and Arabic languages. It has been seen like and different attitudes about orthography of foreign proper noun at Azerbaijan Turkish and Turkey Turkish post Russian occupation. It has been prefered orthography for sight at Turkey Turkish and orthography for ear at Azerbaijan Turkish.
