Officials In The Second World War Period Turkish Story
The officials who were both the most important defenders of the regime and representatives of the state in the eyes of the public, have frequently been appeared in the literary works from the beginning of the Republican period, especially in the early years. In this sense, the official typecasting that we encounter in the Turkish literary works, are not reflecting just a certain classes official perception, but it is at the same time the public’s apprehension of the state. The officials have an extensive coverage in the Second World War Turkish storytelling. In this article, first of all the officials general portrait will be drawn in terms of their reflection in the Second World War period Turkish storytelling, and then besides the war’s effects to the officials, the official-public relations and, thereby state-public relations, will be elaborated.
