A MATHNAWI ABOUT SULEYMAN THE MAGNIFICIENT’S LAST WAR: MERAHI’S “FETHNAME-I SEFER-I SIGETVAR”
A mathnawi named Fethname-i Sefer-i Sigetvar, which takes place in the fetihname as a kind of literary and has been written by Merahi who we could not have found any information about him, is about the conquest of Sigetvar the last war of Suleyman the Magnificent. Although this mathnawi contains 663 couplets and does not have any original information about War of Sigetvar, has got all of characteristics of a mathnawi and a fetihname. In this article that matnawi has been introduced shortly, events in it has been summarized, an edition of that mathnaqi which has been published earlier had been criticized and the text of Fethname-i Sefer-i Sigetvar has been transcribed into Latin alphabet.
