Abstract

Fuzûlî’nin Bir Na’t Gazeli Üzerine

Abstract The tradition of praising the prophet, which started in Turkish literature after the adoption of Islam, has led to numerous works throughout history. The poems written about the praise of the Prophet have a very wide place especially in Divan literature. Such poems, which are called Na't, have been praised over the centuries, as well as by the Prophet. They are also divided into types within themselves as the subjects of the Prophet's coming to the world, his life, his Mi'râc, his external appearance. It can be said that in Turkish literature, poetry has not been presented to another concrete person, who really lived, as much as it was presented to the Last Prophet. In fact, the meaning of holy names means "praised". Fuzûlî is one of our sixteenth century Divan poets and he influenced many later Divan poets especially with his strong lyricism. He has many poems that praise the Last Prophet in his divans and other works, especially his famous Su Kasidesi. A na'tghazal with nine couplets in Fuzûlî's Turkish Divan shows the characteristics of the na't tradition in the sixteenth century. In this article, we aim to share some information about the love of the prophet in Fuzûlî with the enthusiasts and literature students through an observation and contemplation based on the commentary of the na'tghazal in question.
