Some Thoughts on the Verse 221 of Qutad?u Bilig
It has been over 70 years since Qutad?u Bilig was edited (1947). During this time, many new readings and explanations have been presented about this edition and edition’s index. Arat tried to understand the Qutad?u Bilig in the most accurate way and tried to translate it to Turkish (1959). However, Arat was not always able to make an accurate meaning in such a long text like Qutad?u Bilig. Verse 221 is problematic in terms of meaning. It will focus on asıl- in verse 221.
