A RESEARCH ABOUT TECNİS ON MAIN RHETORIC BOOKS
Tecnis, which means making pun, takes a very important place among the literary arts that dewan poets used. The ones who writes tezkire articles mentioned about pun beside dream, wit, skill, magic etc. in their assessments on poem and poet. Tecnis is seen as an element that beautifies the words and is made different classification. Because of that, the Ottoman poets and authors wrote various tractates and made poet and poem examination and they classified the literary arts according to this. But there is a fact that this art was seen as a useless and superficial exertion during Tanzimat period. In rhetoric books the literary arts are generally handle in bedî’ parts and tecnis is explained as the most important word art. However, it is seen that tecnis is handles complicated and classified different in rhetoric books. When examined the rhetoric books, it can be felt there is an individual view in calassic and last period about tecnis. It makes us to thing that the Ottoman poets and authors have individual view too. In this article, it is made an analitic examination about tecnis on main rhetoric books which are chosen and classifications are handled in a comparative way.
