The article explores the epic motifs of the written monument of the Middle Ages “The Book of Grandpa Korkut” and the Karakalpak heroic epic “Koblan”. The author in a comparative form examines in the story the miraculous birth of a batyr, from an early age the manifestation in him of a powerful force, the choice of a horse rider and military armors, the fulfillment of the conditions set by a beautiful girl.
