Language has always been the primary focus of researchers. Every researcher has different expectations from the language. As a result, the language was handled and examined by different researchers from different angles. The language is the basic tool of communication. The discourse and the analysis of discourse is a linguistic concept that draws more attention to each passing day. In recent years, the analysis of discourse has begun to be widely used in many fields of science from sociology to ethnology, from linguistics to philosophy. The analysis of discourse has an interdisciplinary nature. The term is at the crossroads of many sciences. Today there is a very different theory of discourse analysis, in practice, the data of different sciences are utilized. The form of analysis of discourse is a field that develops in different places in the world and has various application forms. Today, especially with linguistics, ıt is talking about his name. The analysis of discourse is a scientific method. The language in use constitutes its core scrutiny.
There is a set of principles that must be present when a discourse is created. These principles are commonly referred to as discourse laws. Many researchers have developed a number of different approaches to the law of discourse. Although these laws are differently named by researchers, there are many similarities between them. For example, Ducrot's "laws of discourse" and Grice's "laws of speech" support and complement each other. It is necessary to consider some laws while every discourse is revealed. In our work, in the direction of Ducrot's principles of "discourse laws", we tried to evaluate the type of anecdote from the important products of folklore. The evaluation of the anecdote according to the law of discourse presents important data in explaining the type of anecdotes popularized by the public.
