Rhetorical Questions And Meaing In Rhetorical Questions
As the primary meaning, a question is directed to learn something and requires an answer. Question sentences are formed through question markers. However, every sentence with question markers is constructed to get answers. These sentences with question markers that do not require answers called as rhetorical question sentences. With these sentences we can express emotions such as orders, reproach, antithesis, humiliation, love, longing, doubt, sadness, etc. In this study, sample sentences were primarily ectracted from a corpus consisting of eight novels with Turkish National Collection. In some cases, example sentences were written by the outhor. In this study, first, retorical question markers were discussed and then, the meaning of these question markers were atempled to clarify.
