Halit Ziya Uşaklıgil, one of the important representatives of the Servet-i Fünun community, also wrote articles besides his novels and stories. These articles belong to Turkish literature as well as to include subjects about Western literature. Halit Ziya has some of these articles published in his books. The most important of these is his four-volume work entitled Sanata Dair. However, an important part of Halit Ziya's writings, starting from Izmir and until the end of his life, remained in newspaper and magazine columns.
