EXAMINATIONS ON THE TURKISH TRANSLATION LITERATURE: FIRST ADAPTATIONS IN KHWAREZM TURKISH
In the center region Khwarezm, the pioneer literary works of the Turkish literature under the effects of Islam, were a kind of steppingstones which dominated the literature of Turks in an attempt to be written fully original works and constituted a transmission period fort he literature. These literary works were also samples of the Turkish literature in the period of literary maturation that provided the literature a classical and national character. Furthermore, some of these works were by of a religion guide in order to learn basics and necessities of Islam and were also copied many times and passed from hand to hand for religious purposes. In fact, these works beginning from 15th century were translated or inspiredly rewritten into Chagatai Turkish in Turkestan, Ottoman Turkish in Anatolia and in the region Neareast, and hence more original and national charactered works enriched by Turkish cultural elements were generated in the mentioned Turkic dialects. In this article, works written in Khwarezmian Turkish via a direct translation method or arranged by adaptation method from the Arabic or classical Persian texts in the 14th century are analysed in terms of technic, form and style of adaptation in the chronological perspective of the Turkish language history.
