Bekir Sıtkı Erdogan, who is one of the Republic era poets (1926-Karaman / 2014-İstanbul), wrote poems with syllabic meter and prosody. Unlike the free utterance of the period, in his poems, the reed instrument tradition of poetry and the inner music values of the syllabic meter are fused. Bekir Sıtkı who reflected the spirit of Anatolia and the Anatolian people in an emotional way, handled such issues as “homesickness, love, death” in his poems. In these poems, he stuck to such formal elements as rhythm, rhyme and verse format. In this study, the total of 200 poems fitted in the 88-year life of Bekir Sıtkı Erdogan was examined in terms of harmony elements. That thus presents him as rigorous language worker as a poet.
