Derleme Sözlüğü’nde Meyve Adlandırmaları (Yer, Eşya, Nesne, Doğa, Bitki Adlarından Oluşan Adlandırmalar, İnsana Ait Unsurlardan Kaynaklanan Adlandırmalar ve Benzetmeye Dayalı Adlandırmalar)

Derleme Sözlüğü is one of the most important sources of today’s Anatolian dialects. It also constitutes a source for studies on Anatolian dialects. In addition, it is a dictionary that brings together the words of the daily spoken language of the Anatolian people and reveals the rich vocabulary of Turkish. In the Derleme Sözlüğü, which includes the rich vocabulary of Anatolian dialects, fruit names also have a large place. While the fruit names in the dictionary are named by the Anatolian people, they give us some information about the shape, color, taste of the fruits and the region where they are grown. While naming these fruits, the Anatolian people used certain criteria such as person, place and analogy. Fruit names such as “antalya muşmulası, antep karası” are named after the region where it grows. However, fruits are also named based on analogy. These comparisons were made in two ways. In the first, fruit names such as “ak kadın parmağı, alabacak” are made by analogy with the human organ. In the second, fruit names such as “alatavşan üzümü, çal kirazı, daş kiraz” are made by analogy with the characteristics of animals, plants and other beings. Fruit names originating from personal names are also seen in the Derleme Sözlüğü. “ahmedbey, bahar, güven” vb. names are used as fruit names in Anatolian dialects. Thus, it was seen as a result of the study that the people in Anatolian took the region where the fruits were grown and the names of people while naming the fruits, and that they also named some organs of people and animals by analogy with the fruits. In the first part of the study, fruit nomenclature originating from place names, fruit nomenclature originating from personal names in the second part, fruit nomenclature based on analogy are included in the last part. All fruit names related to place, person and analogy have been determined and the region in which they are used is given as province and district besides the fruit names. In the study, it is aimed to reveal the richness of Turkish vocabulary by explaining how fruit nomenclature is formed and to contribute to Derleme Sözlüğü studies by identifying fruit names that exist in some works but do not exist in Derleme Sözlüğü.
