Amerika Birleşik Devletleri üniversite ve müzelerinin özel koleksiyonlarında henüz tanımlanmamış çok sayıda Türkçe el yazması eser ve belge mevcuttur. Bunlar arasında California Üniversitesi, Los Angeles (UCLA) Kütüphanesi Türkçe el yazması koleksiyonları sayıca en zengin olanıdır. Nitekim buradaki on binlerce Türkçe eser/belge varlığından yaklaşık 3 bin adedi el yazması niteliğindedir. Bu makalede söz konusu koleksiyonlardan LSC.0896 numaralı Türkçe El Yazmaları Koleksiyonu’nun 147-206 numaralı kutularındaki 1080 adet kaydın (1405-2484) listesi Türk kamuoyu ve bilim dünyasına kazandırılmıştır. Böylece ilgili koleksiyonda Dânişpejûh Kataloğu’nun devamı niteliğinde olmak üzere tanımlanmış el yazması kaydının sayısı 1899 olmuştur. Türk bilim insanları ve araştırmacıların Dânişpejûh Kataloğu’ndan ve bu makaledeki listeden hareketle ilgili kütüphaneden Türkçe el yazmalarını talep edebilmeleri mümkündür. Dil, Edebiyat, Folklor, Tarih, İlahiyat, Felsefe, Bilim Tarihi, Cebir, Astronomi, Tıp, Botanik, Kimya, Musiki gibi şubelere ait oldukça zengin eser çeşitliliği yanında Osmanlı resmî belge ve tahrir örneklerinin de içinde yer aldığı bu koleksiyonlarda tam tekmil katalog çalışmalarının yapılarak elde edilen verilerin ilgili veri tabanlarına işlenmesi oldukça uzun mesailer gerektirmektedir. Bu makalede söz konusu edilen Amerika Birleşik Devletleri Türkçe el yazması koleksiyonları ile diğer ülkelerde benzer şekilde tanımlanmayı bekleyen Türkçe el yazmalarının ortaya çıkarılması amacıyla ilgili kurum ve kuruluşlarca gerekli adımların atılması oldukça elzemdir.

There are many Turkish manuscripts and documents in special collections of universities and museums in the United States that have not yet been identified. Among these, the Turkish manuscript collections of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Library are the richest in number. As a matter of fact, out of the tens of thousands of Turkish works/documents here, approximately 3 thousand of them are manuscripts. In this article, the list of 1080 records (1405-2484) in boxes 147-206 of the Turkish Manuscripts Collection numbered LSC.0896 from the mentioned collections has been brought to the Turkish public and the scientific world. Thus, the number of manuscript records defined as a continuation of the Dânişpejûh Catalogue in the relevant collection has become 1899. It is possible for Turkish scientists and researchers to request Turkish manuscripts from the relevant library based on the Danishpejuh Catalogue and the list in this article. In addition to the rich variety of works belonging to branches such as Language, Literature, Folklore, History, Theology, Philosophy, History of Science, Algebra, Astronomy, Medicine, Botany, Chemistry, and Music, these collections also include Ottoman official documents and census records. It requires long hours to carry out full catalogue studies and process the obtained data into the relevant databases. It is essential that the relevant institutions and organizations take the necessary steps to uncover the Turkish manuscript collections in the United States discussed in this article, as well as Turkish manuscripts in other countries that are awaiting similar identification.
